The 1954 Leyland Comet 90 in the middle has an interesting livery, probably not that of a municipality; was someone influenced by Southern Pacific Railroad's Daylight?
The Leyland Comet is in the livery of Midland Motorways, Christchurch, and is one of a very large fleet operated by them in those colours. The past owner of the Comet, Brian Smith, is distressed that the bus which he had safely shedded for many years is now left outside to deteriorate in all weathers. The folly of doing so can be seen with the Ford V8 parked alongside; the driver's windscreen is falling out owing to rot.
