This is the E38 version which has a slightly less powerful version of the 265 cid six (280 hp vs 302 - both versions were fitted with three twin-throat side draught Weber carbs) than used in the more desirable E49. The E38 had a three speed manual gearbox, whereas the E49 had a four speed. Still very collectible and valuable car today.
