After WW2 two new city bus models were introduced by ACF-Brill:
C-36 and C-44, designations that marked the number of passengers. They
were underfloor engine designs using six cylinder Hall Scott engines;
the C-44 model had a 200 h.p. model 180 engine. The C-36 and C-44 had a solid
reputation for dependability, being sturdy and having the best ride of
any bus on the market. Almost 1,100 C-44 models were produced. This example was seen near Chicago in 1974.
