1930s AEC Mammoth Major Mk II eight-wheeler dump truck art

A Mike Jefferies creation available commercially as a print. "Hudsons Coal had quite a fleet of lorries in the 1930s among which was this seen here being loaded at a London dock-side.At this time AEC's reputation was a little tarnished because of problems with their indirect-injection 7.7 diesel engine which compared unfavourably with the Leyland and especially Gardner direct-injection diesels but later modifications gave AEC the edge."

Top transport painter who inspired myself. Sadly no longer with us but his work featured regularly in various British transport mags.
