This provides a look at the technology of pioneering electric locosmotives, rather than just run-by's.
The SBB Ae 3/6 II electric locomotive was built in 1925 by SLM in Winterthur with electric components supplied by MFO. It is the only preserved Ae 3/6 II locomotive, and is stationed at the SBB Historic depot in Olten. The 3/6 in Swiss notation means 3 powered axles out of 6.
