Well that's the impression of this First Day Cover montage at the time of the visit of the Catholic Church's latest saint to NZ in November 1986. The only problem - as those who have the book Wellington Transport Memories know - is that the Cable Car trailers were removed in 1974 and the whole system was replaced with the present Swiss system in 1979.
