Benzole was a coal-tar product in the UK consisting mainly of benzene and toluene. It was formerly mixed with petrol (gasoline) and sold as a motor fuel under trade names including National Benzole and Regent Benzole Mixture. This particular brand lasted from 1919 to the early 1960s.
