San Salvador might have looked like on its visit to San Diego Bay in 1542,
a website. This is a painting in the Maritime Museum of San Diego, which announced in mid 2010 that it was intending to build a $5 million dollar full-size replica of this historically significant ship, now 65% complete. The ship’s masts will rise 80 feet (24.3 metres) above the water and will
be 24 feet across and 90 feet from end to end, weighing over 200 tons.
