A card/stamp issued in 1973 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Belgium national airline Sabena,which was an acronym of Société Anonyme Belge d'Exploitation de la Navigation Aérienne or Belgian company for exploiting aerial navigation. As mentioned in a previous post, the airline was a victim of the 9/11 Muslim terrorist attacks and flew for the last time on 7 November 2001, the last flight an Airbus A340-300 landing in Brussels. The airline's assets were taken over by the newly formed Brussels Airlines.
