buses outside the Central Lenin Museum, Moscow in USSR days

The Central Lenin Museum in Moscow was the USSR's primary communist propaganda institution from 1936 until 1993. Located on Revolution Square, it used to house a massive 100,000-piece collection. Following the Soviet collapse, the institution closed, though a Virtual Museum of V.I. Lenin was later launched to showcase the artifacts.

The museum's building in the pic (which served as the city Duma and is located adjacent to Red Square) has since been integrated into the broader State Historical Museum complex.
