The Glenbrook Vintage Railway in Waiuku south of Auckland acquired this 4-6-4T tank engine built in 1915 from the West Coast of the South Island, here seen pretty much at the start of the long trip at Omoto just out of Greymouth. The engine has two vans and three passenger cars in tow. The VW on the left may have been that of famed photographer the late Jack Creber. (via Stephen Wright)
