The Renault 4, also known as the 4L (pronounced "Quatrelle"), was a response to the success of the 1948 Citroën 2CV and was a hatchback economy car produced between 1961 and 1992. It was the first front-wheel drive family car produced by Renault. Engine size varied from 0.7 litres to 1.1 litres.
