The Uerdinger Schienenbus classes VT 95 (one motor) and VT 98 (two-motor), later renumbered 795 and 798 for computerization respectively, were well-known faces of the DB from the 1950s through the 1980s and were called the
Nebenbahnrettner or branch line saviours as with their light service weights of 11.5–18.9 tonnes, they suited poor track conditions. Of the Bo type, two traction motor version, above, 329 were built between 1953 and 1962. Each seated 56 passengers. A promotional photo with three connected units, date and location not given.
