a homage to Albert Speer?


As those who have the book Wellington: a Capital Century know, the Wellington Carillon was completed in 1932 but the Dominion Museum behind it was completed in 1936.  Both have been described as examples of "fascist architecture". What that means isn't clear, but they do have a certain Albert Speer feel to them.

Parked in Buckle Street in this tinted postcard is a late 1930s British car - a Ford Prefect?
