Auckland City plan sees major role for trains
A 254-page draft plan, covering a range of subjects that Auckland is going to face and have to deal with over the next few decades was released today by Auckland mayor Len Brown.
In our area of transport the plan includes an increased network of fast transit railway lines, an important part of which is the completion of the Central Rail Loop. We hope that the next central government will support this and not stymie spending on rail transport infrastructure like the present Minister of Transport, Steven Joyce, is intent on doing.
