freight train cam

Not a remote camera but filmed by one of several YouTubers who unoffically get on wagons in freight trains and do long trips in both Europe and America to record the experience. It's a risky activity but interesting to watch as a viewer.  This is Romania apparently.

This is a 4-8-4 "Northern" type. Originally built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March 1925 as an "I-10sa" 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type locomotive for the Reading Company, No. 2102 was rebuilt by the Reading's own locomotive Shops as a 4-8-4 "Northern" in September 1945, and it was used for pulling heavy coal trains for the railroad until being retired from revenue service in 1956. The video includes double heading with 425 -- two hours of nice scenes.

long stone arch bridge, Minneapolis

Nearly a century ago the legendary Empire Builder train first hit the tracks. It was the pride of BNSF predecessor Great Northern Railway’s passenger fleet and was named after none other than James J. Hill, whose nickname was “The Empire Builder."

It’s fitting that the Empire Builder is pictured here on the Stone Arch Bridge – today, November 22, marks the 141st anniversary of the bridge becoming operational. The bridge, a 2,176-foot-long [663 meters] structure located in Minneapolis, is the second oldest bridge to span the Mississippi River. Built under Hill’s leadership, the bridge is the only structure Hill allowed to be inscribed with his name. Today, the bridge is a walking and bicycling path.

Canadian Pacific F Units in the Rocky Mountains -- Banff to Lake Louise Royal

"In the midst of a very successful day along the Laggan Sub, CPKC 21B-30, The Royal Canadian Pacific rolled into the siding at Banff for a meet with CPKC 112-29. This gleaming heritage passenger set was powered by CP 1401, CP 1900 and CP 4107 and was deadheading to Lake Louise to pick up some passengers for a sunset trip to Banff and back to Lake Louise. CPKC 21B was behind three westbound grain trains with several eastbounds opposing and wound up heading eastward from Lake Louise at dusk. We caught the train at Banff, Castle Mountain, Lake Louise and of course, at the iconic Morant’s Curve. We’ll finish the video off with the train making its runaround move at Banff to head back to Lake Louise under the cover of darkness."
