Interesting vehicle. First time I have seen Royal Mail written on a bus here. NZR Road Services had the contract in the 80's when I worked for them but the 'Royal' was not named with mail, merely NZ Post Office contract even though UK still had the GPO under Government contract.
Could it be that as well as offering a bus service it acts as a rural mail delivery service for the post office. I have seen a photo of a van taken in Whakatane marked "Royal Mail Rural delivery"
