Bishkek is the capital of this former Soviet Republic. Bishkek-2 (Бишкек 2) is the train station located in the city center. Design and construction of the building began in the 1930s and the work was completed in two years. The opening took place on 1 May 1938. Bishkek-1 railway station is located in the western part of the city.
