It looks like a BR class 12 diesel shunter (switcher). It's not clear what the truck model is, a Morris or Austin maybe.
It's a class 08 (common) rather than a class 12 (much rarer) - the 08-prefixed number is visible on the cab side, and no class 12s received their TOPS-format numbers.
