red Tait train crosses the Sandridge Bridge over the Yarra, Mebourne

This cover photo of the book Visions of Victoria, a 184-page colour coffee-table book, covering the years 1950-1975 shows one of Melbourne's original Tait trains on the Sandridge Bridge leading from Flinders Street station which is in the left centre of the picture.

Although a general interest title, it has sections on transport.  For a more detailed book on the electric railways, see our Railway Electrification in Australia and Zealand.
