World transport history
The nearer tram is headed south to Aro Street (see the book Wellington Transport Memories). Nearly everything in this scene now belongs to history.
There is only one car in the street which looks to have a single headlight in the radiator so it is a 1915 Briscoe. I think the photo date may be earlier than 1925 - maybe during WW1.
