Three of the 18 General Electric supplied units from the 1910s are seen in 1958. These operated on 2400 Volt direct current (DC), a system built in conjunction with GE and opened in 1912. At its peak the BAP owned and operated a total of 135 miles (217 km) of track, which included yards, branches, and spurs; 75 miles (120 km) were electrified.
