1936 diesel-electric doodlebug

Unit #4900, pictured in the Naples Depot, Florida in 1964, a B-2 type, was built in 1936 by the St. Louis Car Company for the Seaboard Airline Railroad. It was used by the SAR and the successor Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, until 1971. The prime mover was a 600 hp Winton 201-A two-stroke 8-cylinder engine. (colliermuseums.com)
