Skansen funicular, Stockholm, circa 1900

 

According to the website - the funicular was built for the Stockholm exhibition in 1897 and is in the northwest part of Skansen. The difference in elevation was 30 metres and the length of the route was 32 metres (107 feet), suggesting a nearly 45% incline. The funicular re-opened in 1973 with modernized safety and and a longer route. The funicular starts at the Hazelius Entrance and stops at Tingswallen in the near of the Bollnäs square and the Delsbo farm.
