German 420 class electric multiple units for local passenger traffic
A total of 480 of these three-part articulated sets were built between 1969 and 1997 for the Deutsche Bundesbahn by MAN, WMD, LHB, MBB, O&K, Uerdingen, WU for S-Bahn traffic; 168 are still in use.
