European Greenways website
Further to the mention in the post about the old mountain Pierrefitte-Cauterets-Luz tramway, the Association Européenne des Voies Vertes website has useful info on what are known here as Rail Trails, although not all of these are old railway lines. The site is in French, Spanish and English.
