Featuring a 2000 Class 'Silver Bullet' rail motor which first made their appearance in 1956.

The slight issue is that the distance between Brisbane and Cairns (1,700 km or 1,060 miles) is further than what can be travelled in a day, unless it meant stopping overnight somewhere.  Comparing it to a 'magic carpet' seems whimsical.

Katy freight train passes by the birthplace of Dwight D. Eisenhower in Denison, Texas

The town was named after the first vice president of the Missouri Kansas Texas (Katy) railroad, the successor operation today is Union Pacific.

The Katy GP40 leads a train past the birth house of U.S. President Dwight David Eisenhower; his father worked as a wiper, cleaning steam engines. This trackage has gone, although a short symbolic length has been left in place.

On a BUT RETB/1 chassis with a body by New Zealand Motor Bodies. 19 of this type with these manufacturers were built; another 19 with Metro Cammell Weymann bodies.  This one was seen in Pirie Street outside the Hataitai bus tunnel.
