Norway electric trams 1894, 1994 stamp art

The first electric tram in Norway was a line in Oslo which began on 3 March 1894.  The only other tramways in Norway were in Bergen and Trondheim (see earlier posts).

ship 'Meteor' in Alesund, Norway

Meteor was commissioned as a German military ship with the Reichsmarine but spent most of her life in a scientific role. The ship entered service in 1924, was handed over to the Soviet Union in 1945 and was scrapped in 1968 or later.
