NZRRS Bedford bus art, 1980s

By artist Wallace Trickett who says: NZR Railways Road Services (later InterCity) Bedford YRT 4870 departing Masterton Depot, the old Opera House in Lincoln Road. Supervisor Ray Wallis sees the 4pm afternoon service away to Wellington with Driver Ken Gibson in charge of the coach.

One amusing comment Ray would make to passengers as they left which I never forgot..."Ladies and Gentlemen, there are 197 pot holes between here and Wellington and my driver wants you to enjoy everyone of them!"
