The TRE operates a commuter rail service over the 34 miles (55 km) between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, which takes about an hour each way.
Here are, on the left, an EMD F59PH IV from 1994 of which there are 7 in the fleet, and on the right, an ex-Amtrak F40PH from the 1980s of which there are 2 in the fleet.
TRE also has 2 EMD F59PHI locomotives, (Geoff Churchman photo)
