I used to drive the Mauriceville school bus -usually either a Bedford SB, nfm or Leyland comet,happy days, lovely country run, the road intersects with the rail line several times.
The 806 Railcar is just coming off the old site of the northern Kopuaranga River crossing known as Twin Bridges, old wooden Howe trusses removed and the river re-channeled between the Railway and the Road.
823 would have crossed 806 at Mauriceville if there were few shunts to do.
