the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke near Müngsten, Germany

This was opened in 1897 in the Wuppertal, on the railway line from Solingen to Remscheid of the Preussische Staatsbahn (Prussian State Railway). At the time it was not just the highest viaduct in Germany, but in the world, 107 metres (351 ft) over the Wupper river. It was 485 metres long and had a main span of 170 metres.

Today it is known as the Müngstener Brücke (Müngsten Bridge) and is used exclusively by the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 7.
