This year will be an important one in the history of NZ and Australian armed forces as the coming 25th April marks the centenary of the landings at Gallipoli in Turkey, and ever since the veterans day in both countries has been named ANZAC Day (after the Australia and Zealand Army Corps) and commemorated on 25 April.
