While a visit of members of the British monarchy (members of other European monarchies much less) creates a lot of interest from women's magazines, our interest, and probably that of our readers, is solely in what cars are used. Prince William and Kate arrive in Wellington today to excite monarchists and fashionistas.
A lot of attention was given in early 2011 to the fancy and very expensive BMWs that the government ordered for Cabinet Ministers and VIPs (see earlier post), but the pic above of the Governor General's official car at the National War Memorial in Wellington that year shows a Jaguar XJ.
