NZ flag among the world's most confusing

According to a study by the Human Interface Technology Laboratory (HitLab) at the University of Canterbury; story. There's nothing new or surprising about that. "Ideally every country should have a flag that was clearly different from all others," Dr Bartneck of the HitLab said.

Exactly, but it should also be appealing.  In our humble opinion, the world's three most visually appealing national flags, in order, are the American, the French and the South African.

It's certainly a recognizable flag. The process that Canada had in choosing a new national flag in the early 1960s is one that Australia and NZ will have in the next decade.
