Cahuenga Pass, LA area, 1930s-1940s

Two views: one from 1931 and the second from about 10 years later which shows railway tracks in the centre.  The cars in the first scene look fake but it's hard to be sure. The Cahuenga Pass connects the LA Basin to the San Fernando Valley via the Hollywood Freeway and Cahuenga Boulevard. It is the lowest pass through the mountains at 745 ft (227 metres) elevation.
