So says the info accompanying this photo. Although that is the French-Spanish border, it raises questions - whose tank was it, why a Skoda tank from Czechoslovakia, what was it doing, and why a tank anyway...
Probably left behind by the Germans as the Allies liberated France in '44, and as Franco's Spain was Fascist, there was a lot of tension between Spain and the Western Allies in the immediate post-WW2 years. So why not station it along that border as Spain's armored forces were miniscule at best and grossly outdated at worst?

Skoda vz.31 (Model 1935) tanks were widely employed by the Germans. Production of an improved version, Panzer 38(t) continued under occupation.
