The MV Otaki (4) is shown in Federal Steam Navigation Line colours in the late 1960s, in evening light northwest of Kapiti Island and Otaki, New Zealand. This oil on stretched canvas panel, approximately 12 x 24" (30.5 x 61 cm), is a new release from Wallace Trickett's studio.
The vessel would not be sailing so close to the mainland and Kapiti Island under normal circumstances - unless of course the Ship's Master was an Italian!
