Hungarian 4-8-0 steam locomotive

A MAV (Hungarian state railways) 4-8-0 type 424 class with goods wagons on the western shore of Lake Balaton.  These were also used in other Communist bloc countries.  (Stu Hammond)
Another of the class at Budapest Nyugati (West) station in 1972.  Taking pictures like this during the Communist era risked being reported to the police followed by questioning and film confiscation - stations, bridges, tunnels, freight yards were considered to be of military strategic interest! Thanks to Muslim nutters, the TSA in America now seems to have the same notion.
