The movie about the 1953 Tangiwai disaster filmed last December (see post of 29 January) screens next Sunday evening 14 August at 8.30 pm on TV1 Sunday Theatre.
The miniature steam locomotive used in the production was made by the team at WETA workshops from mouldings taken off the scale NZR KA locomotive built by Chris Arts, a Manukau Live Steamers member. The scale fully detailed passenger cars were made by the highly talented Richard Taylor and his team of model makers at WETA workshops in Wellington who also were involved with all the site works.
