Short North was a reference to the Sydney--Newcastle line and here Pacific type number 3813 is seen at Fassifern. It's not clear if this postcard scene was a standard train or an excursion.

The fleet of 70 E1 trams (and 59 C3 trailers) was built by SGP and Lohner between 1966 and 1976. They were formerly in service in Vienna. Some cars are fitted with a partial electronic passenger information system.  This example is seen near Nowa Huta.
