Pere Marquette 'Mogul'
A Mogul is a steam locomotive with a 2-6-0 wheel arrangement. This example was built in 1898 by Brooks Locomotive Works, Dunkirk, NY, and is seen at the LaCrosse, Indiana, depot in Pere Marquette Railway service. It was withdrawn and scrapped in 1929.
The Pere Marquette Railway operated in the Great Lakes region of the US and Canada until 1947 when it was bought by the Chesapeake and Ohio (today's successor is CSX).

"The Ohio Turnpike in all its colorful glory as seen from an overpass"
Believe it or not that was the caption on the other side of this postcard from 1959. Apart from Steven Joyce, who would be turned on by a picture like this? Definitely one for the boring postcards category.
