1925 Cadillac V63 bus

Using a Crawley Ridley B13F body. Exact location not stated but probably on Wellington's Miramar Peninsula.  For lots more, see the book Wellington Transport Memories.

The caption is incorrect but this is not uncommon with museums and institutions and then the error becomes received wisdom.
The vehicle is a 1925 Cadillac V63 built by Crawley Ridley & Co Ltd of Taranaki Street, Wellington for the Bell Bus Company of Ngaio as their fleet No 3. The Cadillac passed into the NZR Road Services fleet when they took over Bell Bus in 1936 and was transferred to the NZ Army in 1940 after which all trace is lost. The photo seen here was taken in 1930, one of a series shot by a Bell Bus employee.
