tram and car in High Street, Colchester, England, circa 1920

This looks east from the intersection with North Hill/Head St.  Colchester trams operated on a 5.74 mile (9.24 km) system in cape gauge from 1904 to 1929. The fleet consisted of 18 open top double-deck tram cars built by the Electric Railway and Tramway Carriage Works of Preston on Brill 21E trucks.

What is that automobile on the right?

Going by the look of the cars this picture was taken pre-WW1. Not yet sure about the car but it might be a BSA from around 1910.

I have forwarded this picture to others more expert than me on British cars of this era and no one is 100% certain but it seems that BSA of 1909-1910, maybe a 15/20 hp model, is about as close as we can get.
