DSB D825, a 2-6-0

 

Seen here in 1958, this was one of 100 built, in 1905 by Hartmann (Saxon Maschinenfabrik zu Chemnitz). The class was numbered D801 to 900. They were 47.2 tonnes weight, 19.92 metres (65 ft 4 inches) long over buffers including tender, and top speed was 70 km/h (44 mph). Several were rebuilt between 1925 and 1947 with a new boiler and cab.  This is one of 4 preserved today.  More
