the Mickey Cohen gangster Cadillac

Recently we bought the DVD of the movie Gangster Squad which is worthwhile watching for classic car fans as it contains a lot of cars of the late 1940s; in one scene there's even a Pacific Electric streetcar and a couple of scenes feature LA Union Station.  There are also plenty of nice sets.   The action is rather comic-book in places but that doesn't detract.

The actual 1950 Cadillac Fleetwood used by Mickey Cohen was confiscated by the LAPD after his arrest for tax evasion and his imprisonment. They then proceeded to shoot it up to establish how bullet proof the armor and super thick windows really were.  It is now in the Southward Car Museum just south of Waikanae, NZ.
