double track dual gauge and a crossing train in Western Australia, 1960s

At a place called Lloyd's Crossing a goods train hauled by X 1013 (see earlier post) crosses a double track dual gauge main line.  The crazy early decisions by the different states to build railways with different gauges continues to impact efficiency today, despite all capital cities now being connected by standard gauge lines.
