Enthusiast video producers have issued this type of DVD for quite some time, but this one caught our attention in Denmark recently as it has been produced the state TV network equivalent of the BBC - it's hard to imagine that organisation (let alone TVNZ) showing such interest in railway journeys, even for transmission in the small hours of the night.
This 2-disc DVD which translates as "On rails" has nearly 7 hours of rides over 9 different routes, all unedited from start to finish. Denmark may be mostly as flat as the proverbial pancake but there is picturesque farmland, woods, pretty villages and less pretty city suburbs, filmed in summer weather.
