the Duzgo - a literal name

It "does go" - another car featured in Patrick Harlow's books on NZ custom-built and cottage industry cars, see earlier posts and our main website.  This is one of over 100 in a show featuring such cars being held this weekend in Porirua near Wellington.

According to this webpage, "The Duzgo mainly used a single-cylinder Kohler engine producing 12hp and drove through two gearboxes 12 forward speeds and three reverse. Its lightness, knobby motorcycle tyres and having the right gear for any occasion gave it excellent performance in muddy farm conditions. Although some sources describe it as a 4x4, it was rear-drive."

This Duzgo No10 still has to have an added feature. Kevin (owner/co-manufacturer)did not get it done in time for the car show. It has a black painted wood railing "cattle crate" type enclosure, complete with "farm gate" and two wood pailing seats on top of the tray deck, to cart (amongst other things) grandchildren safely around). Kind of makes it "The Family Duzgo" doesn't it. Linda Giles - Christchurch, N.Z.

So at this stage it's a Willgo? Good luck with the WOF.
