trolleys in New Bedford, Massachusetts

A view from the late 1930s
The Union Street Railway Company was incorporated in 1887 and lasted into the 1950s. Like many such operations, passenger ridership fell sharply after WW2 (in this case from 27 million in 1946 to 13.9 million in 1953) to the point where the business was operating in the red.  At least one car, Railway Post Office Car #302, is preserved at the Shoreline Trolley Museum in East Haven, Connecticut. Are there others?

Below is a 14 minute film from 1921.
